Experience the exquisite taste of Ireland with our celebrated Writers’ Tears Inniskillin Ice Wine Cask Finish Irish Whiskey. Crafted by renowned whiskey experts, the Writers Tears’ brand never fails to impress whiskey enthusiasts worldwide.
Inspired by the Walsh Whiskey founders, Bernard & Rosemary, this remarkable 23rd expression showcases their relentless pursuit of the finest taoscán [tay-scawn]/drop of whiskey. Embarking on a remarkable journey to Canada’s premier wine region, they formed a special collaboration with Inniskillin Winery and its former Head Winemaker, Bruce Nicholson (now retired).
During their visit to the extraordinary Niagara Peninsula in January 2020, Bernard & Rosemary had the privilege of exploring the vineyard and sampling fermenting wines. Ultimately, they handpicked 12 exceptional hogshead casks, originally created by the esteemed Berthomieu Cooperage in France, established in 1906.
The nose of this exquisite whiskey showcases delightful notes of peach and apricot, complemented by a distinctive Pot Still spice. On the palate, indulge in the harmonious blend of floral blossom and nutty oak, leading to an irresistibly fruity finish.
Tasting Notes:
- Peach and apricot intertwine with a unique Pot Still spice.
- Floral blossom mingling with nutty oak.
- A delightful fruit compote of mango and lychee lingers on the finish.
