A 2007 Mortlach single malt from indie bottler Hunter Laing, matured in a single refill hogshead for a decade, before being bottled in 2018 as part of its First Editions series.

Nose: Some floral and malty hints.
Palate: The taste almost is really just a short beginning that crescendos and transitions extremely smoothly into the finish.
Finish: This is a very light and refreshing malt.

Mortlach distillery is a distiller of Scotch whisky in Dufftown, Moray, Scotland. Founded in 1823, the distillery is currently owned by Diageo. The whisky is a key component in several Johnnie Walker bottlings., while Diageo also markets four Mortlach single malts. The still pictured above is Dufftown distillery.
