A 2007 Linkwood single malt from indie bottler Hidden Spirits, matured in a single ex-bourbon hogshead for 13 years, before being bottled in 2020.

Nose: Very clean and appetising, with a gentle floral character.
Palate: There is a much greater presence of peat in the taste than the nose suggests. The smokiness quickly hits the palate and then tapers off.
Finish: Medium length & Spicy.
Distillery Information
The Linkwood Distillery is a whisky distillery in Elgin, in the Speyside region of Scotland. It is owned by the British drinks giant Diageo. The distillery was built in 1821 by Peter Brown with two stills, and started production in 1825 with a capacity of 4,500 litres per year.
