One of the stalwarts of the Special Releases series, the 14th release is of a very different style to last year’s. Aged in refill American oak, this has a creamy texture and a dry finish.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.

Palate: The taste almost is really just a short beginning that crescendos and transitions extremely smoothly into the finish.

Finish: Finish is long, spicy and smooth.

Lagavulin distillery is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Lagavulin on the island of Islay, Scotland.Lagavulin is one of the three Kildalton Distilleries in the south of Islay and sits comfortably in between Ardbeg and Laphroaig at the “Hollow by the Mill”, translated from the Gaelic lag a’mhuilin.
