The Glenfarclas Family Casks series is a range of vintage casks from one of Speyside’s best distilleries. All but three of the range (1952, 1979 & 1984) are from first fill or refill sherry casks.

Glenfarclas 1954 Sherry Cask The Family Casks Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.

Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.

Finish: Lingering finish.

Distillery Information

Glenfarclas distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland. Glenfarclas translates as meaning valley of the green grass. The distillery is owned and run by the Grant family. The distillery has six stills which are the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners.
