Detailed Description

A very special 1973 vintage whisky from Dalmore distillery, signed by master blender Richard Paterson. This whisky has been matured for 30 years and has spent time being finished in sherry casks which previously held Gonzalez Byass Sherry.

Nose: Very clean and appetising, with a gentle floral character.

Palate: The initial rush of peat and wood smoke is followed by a gentle sweetness with hints of spice.

Finish: Smooth & lingering.

Distillery Information

The Dalmore Distillery is located in Alness, which is 20 miles North of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle, the “big meadowland”, from which it takes its name.
