Detailed Description

A 1971 vintage Glenury Royal released by Diageo as part of their Rare Malts series of bottlings. The distillery was one that didn’t survive the cull of 1983 and has since been demolished. This version was produced for the French market, whose back label it carries.

Nose: A delightfully complex spicy and perfumed nose.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: Clean,crisp and smooth.

The Glenury distillery is a former producer of single malt Scotch whisky that operated under a number of different owners between 1825 and 1985, when it closed for the final time.
