A 1980 vintage Glenesk released by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Rare Old series of whiskies. The distillery sadly closed in 1985 and bottlings are now increasingly sought-after.

Nose: A delightfully complex spicy and perfumed nose.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: Long and warming.

Glenesk started its life as a malt Whisky distillery, then evolved into a single grain Whisky distillery, then returned to a malt Whisky distillery once again.
