Detailed Description

Made at Bunnahabhain distillery, this Islay single malt spent three decades in a refill sherry butt and a refill American oak hogshead, before being bottled by Hunter Laing for the 2019-release of its Kinship Collection. Warm, fresh aromas of dried fruits, sea breeze and rich oak fill the nose. The palate offers notes of succulent flowers, creamy vanilla, dried fruits and sea salt.

Nose: Some floral and malty hints.

Palate: Firm, powerful. A well-balanced attack gives equal footing to aromas of peat, smoke, spices.

The Bunnahabhain Distillery was founded in 1881 near Port Askaig on Islay. The village of Bunnahabhain was founded to house its workers. The distillery is owned by Distell.
