A 1997 vintage whisky from Glen Garioch. Although no age is stated, this has been bottled in 2012 which makes it around 15 years old. This shows the distillery’s trademark fruitiness, and is bottled at cask strength.

Nose: A delightfully complex spicy and perfumed nose.

Palate: Juicy and mouthwatering, with a creamy mouth-coating texture.

Finish: Finish is very long and smooth.

Distillery Information

The Glen Garioch distillery (pronounced Glen Geerie) was founded around 1797 by the Manson brothers, although many claim it was in fact Thomas Simpson. Different sources tell different stories. It is located in Oldemldrum, a small town in the Highlands famous for producing the finest barley in all of Scotland.
